The blog I have set up can only take one picture per post so having to do two posts for today. Thought I would show you part of my days digging. This picture is from first thing this morning, about 7.30am. This is my dig square. Bottom right the pink string marks the edge or "bolt" of the square. The top edge is just above the big rocks with a cut line that runs to a peg with a pink ribbon just behind the lady in pink. Her name is Thea. Across the top bolt is the next door square which at the beginning of the day was a jumble of tumble, but they did find some things that gave them some hope of making sense of it during the day. But in our square we don't really care what's going on next door because we have our own jumble to sort out.

The morning theory began like this. In the middle of the square are the cobble stones I have mentioned the last few posts, either a floor or a walkway/street, with streets being very narrow. Next to the cobbles is a raised platform looking area that is a packed hard mud floor that butts into big rocks to the left that are supposed to be the foundations of a large wall that sat on top of them. Mud floors are usually made by laying cobbles and then packing the earth on top so it was expected that the cobbles would go under the floor area to the foundation rocks. Refer to part 2 to see what actually appeared.
